Homeowner Desired Outcome

These Preston Hollow homeowners wanted to overhaul their outdated primary bathroom, including the closet, bedroom and adjoining office. Top on their priority list was replacing the dated travertine and granite with modern, durable materials. They also wanted a larger, walk-in shower and a more spacious toilet room.

Our Creative Solution

Although taken down to the studs, the existing floorplan provided plenty of room for a redesign. It served the needs of the homeowners well and therefore only needed minor modifications. By removing the bathtub, we were able to enlarge the vanity, shower, and toilet space. The much larger vanity was redesigned with custom floor-to-ceiling cabinets that flanked the left and right sides, increasing both the usable counterspace and adding much needed storage. The shower was widened and extended to meet the adjacent toilet room wall, eliminating existing dead floor space, and maximizing the efficiency of the layout.

Luxurious, contemporary details of this primary bathroom remodel include quartzite countertops with a large laminated edge, a custom floating shower bench seat, a combination of smooth and textured glass tile, heated marble tile floors, finish rift-cut frameless cabinetry, high-end plumbing fixtures and custom trim. Every material used in this project was carefully thought through for its durability, quality, and aesthetic appeal. The exquisite design details tie this room together to create a streamlined, modern, luxury primary bathroom—pure makeover magic!
