High-End Traditional Kitchen Renovation in Preston Hollow

Homeowner Desired Outcome

This project originated from a devastating second floor bathroom water leak that resulted from a burst pipe. Their kitchen ceiling had been damaged, along with the wood flooring and custom casing around two separate arched openings. In order to replace the damaged flooring and subflooring, the existing kitchen needed to be renovated.

OUR CREATIVE SOLUTION

In the planning process, the homeowners realized an opportunity to upgrade their cabinets. With the help of our design-build team, we redesigned the layout to accommodate their need for improved storage, utilizing large drawers, spice pull-outs, pull-out shelves, and tray dividers. The improvements also extended to the butler’s pantry, keeping all of the features and enhancements cohesive. Partnering with J. Wiley Designs, the homeowner was further inspired to make subtle changes in their selections that created a fresh, modern aesthetic to the kitchen and matched the home’s existing architecture.

This beautiful, classic kitchen design features custom cabinetry from Shiloh. The island cabinets are colored in taupe and topped with a gorgeous Allure Stone Epsion blue quartzite. Complimenting the island are the perimeter cabinets in soft white topped with Allure Stone Bianco leathered quartzite. Accenting both is a custom hand-glazed diamond tile backsplash with a unique inlay over the range.

Finally, premium features, including the new Sub-Zero/Wolf appliances and high-end plumbing fixtures, transformed this basic white kitchen into luxury masterpiece that was suited to the rest of the home.
