Transitional Galley Kitchen Remodel on the M-Streets in Dallas
Homeowner Desired Outcome
With a desire to bring their dated 1990’s galley kitchen back to life, these Dallas homeowners came to Blackline Renovations wanting a fresh, clean look—to include white cabinets, quartz countertops, and a stylish, modern backsplash with clean lines. They also wanted to utilize the open space beneath the large kitchen window to create more storage; and they were looking for our design expertise in better integrating the existing island with the rest of the kitchen.
OUR CREATIVE SOLUTION
Keeping within the existing footprint of the kitchen, our design team worked collaboratively with the homeowners to maximize the square footage and create additional storage. We designed new base cabinets beneath the window, which housed a double trash pullout and undercounter wine refrigerator. The busy granite countertops were replaced with beautiful contemporary white Calcatta Clara quartz countertops with an eased edge. We replaced the fluted glass cabinet doors with solid doors to match the existing cabinetry, and the kitchen was painted a crisp white. The traditional beveled subway tile was paired with a marble mosaic at the island and used as an accent behind the cooktop to compliment the quartz countertops. Clean, crisp, stunning!
