Homeowner Desired Outcome

Important to these Preston Hollow homeowners was designing a luxury media room that solved two functions: 1) An adult media room for everyday use and special occasions, and 2) A functional playroom area for their son.

Our Creative Solution

As part of a planned two-story addition, a spacious media room was designed into the second floor. On top of the stairs, the media room opened up into a large play area with custom built-in storage for books, toys and games. This room also was designed with a new kid’s bedroom and access to a private guest bedroom suite. To ensure the room was quiet and comfortable, a soundproofing pad was placed beneath the wood flooring on the second floor to minimize noise transfer from above, and sound insulation was installed in between the walls adjacent to the media room.
