Homeowner Desired Outcome

This less than adequate laundry room not only was a bit of an eyesore, it functioned poorly with wire shelving and insufficient hidden storage for cleaning supplies. Also visible to visitors who entered the rear of the house, a less than aesthetic light bulb hung off of a ceramic socket with a pull-chain and the dryer vent ran through the floor and discharged into the crawl space.

Our Creative Solution

While this project was small, the transformation, and its impact on the family, was significant. The laundry room area was designed with new custom cabinetry in a bright blue finish, which immediately brightened up the space and tucked the cleaning supplies out of view. A hanging rod and utility shelf were hung between the cabinets to make further use of the small space. The laundry room then received a new decorative light fixture and updated the paint colors. Last, but not least, the dryer vent was re-run up the wall and out through the eaves bringing it up to code.
