Homeowner Desired Outcome

This project involved a 520 SF addition, expanding their 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom home with a new bedroom, closet, bathroom, and office space. With a growing family, the homeowners sought to create dedicated areas for their children as they matured. Additionally, given their work-from-home lifestyle, the extra office space became a necessity, providing them with the functional work environment required for their professional endeavors.

OUR CREATIVE SOLUTION

Upon assessing the backyard, we discovered it was situated on a flood plain, rendering their initial plan for a detached structure unfeasible. Undeterred, we engaged our architect and engineer to brainstorm creative alternatives. Through collaborative efforts, we devised innovative solutions beyond their original vision, resulting in a design perfectly tailored to their needs. Despite the deviation from their initial concept, we achieved their desired outcome with precision and ingenuity.

During discussions about the aesthetic preferences, the homeowners expressed a desire for a bold and moody ambiance in the bathroom, leading us to the selection of vibrant and playful tile choices.

The final space seamlessly meets their requirements, providing essential additional office space for their remote work needs and a versatile living area to accommodate their expanding family and visiting guests.
